Lifetime Achievement Awards
Throughout its life The Shropshire Society in London has enjoyed a loyal and regular membership who have provided financial support and strong attendance at its various functions both in Shropshire and London.

There are instances where The Shropshire Society in London takes particular note of individual members who deserve special merit for their loyal support and encouragement and for their outstanding example in the community and in the County.

Mrs Mabel Davies
For support, service and loyalty to The Society over many years in many commitments, particularly in welcoming and helping evacuees into Shropshire after World War II, their settlement into the community and job-finding; for involvement in supporting and advancing the work of The League of Friends for The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, together with working on many Charity Committees in the community and dedicated support to The National Farmers’ Union; for work as a National Trust Guide and church organist for over seventy years.
Mrs Sue Wood
For support, service and loyalty to The Society, particularly in various Shropshire Committees, consultative and organisational roles. This includes championing improvements for access and facilities for the disabled, youth work and Local Government input. In earlier years she was an international athlete in disability categories, including winner and recipient of several gold medals.
